The 48th Street Club was founded in 1959 and is operated by Omaha Chapter, Inc., a non-profit corporation, which is separate from Alcoholics Anonymous. The purpose of the Club is to provide a meeting place for 12 Step groups and to provide a safe environment for Members and non-Members to practice sober living skills. Membership dues, rent from individual meetings, pop and coffee sales, and donations are our primary sources of revenue.
We offer many special events throughout the year including holiday dinners, barbecues, football parties, and a hospitality room at the Cornhusker Roundup. We currently host over 40 meetings a week. Meeting schedules can be viewed here.
